Basketball Foot & Ankle Injuries

Tuesday April 8, 2008
Foot and ankle injuries are common in basketball. Fortunately, the 2008 men's NCAA basketball championship game did not have any foot or ankle injuries that caused any player to leave the game. Although, it did appear Derrick Rose was having leg cramps late in the game. College age basketball players are more likely to suffer ankle sprains whereas recreational basketball players, in their 30's and 40's, are at risk for achilles tendon ruptures.
